Join the NorCal Hop Growers Alliance for our 3rd annual Hop Growing Seminar. This year our event takes place at the beautiful SRJC Shone Farm, just outside Forestville.
Tickets include coffee and breakfast snacks, a full catered lunch, beer tastings, cheese pairings, all day access to education, and an afternoon tour of a local hop yard at Redwood Hill Goat Farm with hands on sessions in the field.
This years speakers include Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing Company, Nile Zacherle of Mad Fritz Beer, Paul Hawley of Fogbelt Brewing Company, Chris Fragoso from UC Berkeley on hop genetics and breeding programs, local hop farmers and more!
This year's seminar will focus on developing the niche market of wet hop beers, fresh hops, and local ingredients. If you are thinking about growing hops, diversifying your current farming practices to include hops, or brewing craft beer, this seminar will have a lot to offer. It's also a great opportunity to meet many great people in the California craft brewing industry.

This summit will focus on modern, innovative ways to create menus that reflect the quality ingredients and passion behind the world’s best craft brews. CIA chefs and beverage instructors will work alongside master brewers as they delve into these subjects, utilizing the college’s state-of-the art facilities and culinary and beverage expertise.
We are excited to help support the local Soroptimist St Helena at the Bale Grist Mill by creating a special beer crafted using local spring water from the area as well as milling the entire grain bill for the mash there. We have been milling our Malted Blue Corn there with great results.

Mad Fritz Brewing Company has paired up with the folks at Bounty Hunter using their freshly emptied Bourbon barrels to age our beer. We chose our Rye Ale using Chateau Montelena Winery's well water, Full Pint malted barley and 26% malted rye then aged this beauty in two different Bourbon barrels. We will offer two other beers that night to show case what we do best in one of the coolest bars in downtown Napa.
